Manchester United fans were certainly ecstatic with Alexis Sanchez’s performance vs Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

The Chilean had one of his better displays since arriving at the club during the winter transfer market of the last season.

United ended up winning the clash 2-0 but arguably should’ve won more comfortably due to how well they played.

Sanchez was central to much of the side’s impressive attacking and a goal would’ve actually reflected his efforts.

Instead he had to settle for an assist but supporters were definitely pleased nonetheless.

That was Sánchez’s best game in a Manchester United shirt for some time. Really bright and positive going forward. Great assist. Need to see that level of performance on a consistent basis.

That left side is absolutely buzzing. Shaw and Sanchez linking up extremely well.

Lukaku will rightfully get the applause for that cracking header but what a ball that was from Sanchez. World class.

Sanchez looked sharp and got a good assist. Created some great opportunities especially with Lingard early on. Fellaini was solid at the base of the midfield. Shaw was excellent down the left side. CBs solid though largely untested. #FullTimeDoc

Sanchez has been great. Must be the Udinese kit

People talk about Sanchez losing the ball quite a lot. But both those goal don't happen if Sanchez doesn't take a risk and pass/cross. So it works both ways. #sanchez #mufc

Manchester United needed a response following the heavy loss to Tottenham last weekend.

Jose Mourinho’s men were defeated 3-0 at home and so were desperate for a win against Burnley before the international break began.

United thankfully grabbed all three points and have climbed up the table to a somewhat more acceptable performance.

The pressure is definitely still on Mourinho but if Sanchez can continue stepping up then the club should be back where they belong.

Playing in his favoured left-wing role, the former Barcelona man excelled and linked up well with Romelu Lukaku.

Those two players alongside Paul Pogba are arguably the Red Devils’ key men and all will need to be fit and firing for a good season.
